Crest, a dark brown tom with a white underbelly, creeped through the twolegplace. He walked along a sidewalk, crossed a street, walked along another sidewalk, then jumped over a fence and began to walk through the allies. Yes, he was an ally cat, and only one thing for food pleased him in this twolegplace. Garbage. Old, stinky, wasted food. Garbage. He clawed his way up the garbage can and lifted himself in. He came out with an old fish and padded along through the allies. His fur was still ruffled form the first time he went in a garbage, for he didn't wash it. He hated being mangy, but the pelt seemed to scare off more kittypets than the biggest shadow they could make. He ran to the other side of the street, then lay down on the shady side of a building.
